The Alisal Guest Ranch & Resort is nestled in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley and the renowned Santa Barbara County wine country -- in Solvang, California. The Alisal has been a popular hideaway for families, couples and groups since first welcoming guests in 1946. Today, the romance and majesty of the “old west” remain in the Ranch’s wide-open spaces and unspoiled natural beauty, but has been updated to include a comprehensive fitness center and cozy day spa on the premises.
The Ranch offers numerous specials with spa components, including golf and spa, group team building packages, and more.
One of those packages, the Cowgirl Bootcamp, is hosted from May 1 - 4, 2011.
The Cowgirl Bootcamp is an all-inclusive adventurous women's retreat in a laid-back style. Before exploring over 50 miles of trails, women wranglers train cowgirls in "Saddle Up" instruction. With the preliminaries out of the way, guests hit the trail for horseback riding over beautiful trails to Alisal Lake to learn archery, fishing and hat shaping.
For the more experienced rider and horse enthusiast there is also an opportunity to try barrel racing lessons in the open air arena. Experienced and novice riders alike will enjoy an invigorating breakfast ride to the historic Old Adobe.
The Cowgirl Bootcamp package includes:
- studio accommodation for four days and three nights
- gift basket filled with Cowgirl Amenities on arrival
- cocktail receptions each evening
- breakfast, lunch and dinner, including wine with dinner
- Alisal Signature Massage for two
- private wine maker's presentation
